Carl lives his dreams --  his dream as a painter, world explorer, and seeker of knowledge. His artistic vision represents the whole of his life experiences. Carl is a consummate student who loves learning and honing his craft, often popping into art schools for a quick session during his travels. Domestically, he's studied in New York City, Boston, Ohio, Arizona, California, and Colorado; internationally, he's studied in London, Argentina, Greece, Mexico, and Florence, Italy. 

Carl loves to paint live. The excitement of an audience spurs Carl to push artistic boundaries while engaging with the crowd. Carl's painted live at a Jack Johnson concert, a New Orleans Jazz festival, on stage at a fashion show, rodeos, and multiple weddings and corporate events. When not painting live at an event, you'll often find him on a street, boardwalk, dock, or the side of the mountain with a paintbrush in hand. 

Carl studies and paints with some of the finest artists today, including Kim English, Michelle Torez, Walt Gonske, Dan Thompson, Michael Clark, Max Ginsburg, and Joshua Been.

When Carl is not painting on location or participating in an art show, he may be rock climbing, mountain biking, or painting in a studio, preparing for his next adventure.
